About The Author



Dr. Jay Das is a highly experienced health and wellness expert with over 40 years of expertise in the field. Originally from India, he immigrated to Australia in July 1971 and was awarded the University Dean’s Award to pursue his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Wollongong.
Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Jay embarked on a career in the pharmaceutical industry, working with multinational corporations such as Fisons and 3M. While at 3M, he was nominated for the prestigious International Achievement Award for the Circle of Technical Excellence in 1984, in recognition of his significant contributions to research and product development. Over the years, Dr. Jay developed a broad range of pharmaceutical products and conducted extensive research into their medical applications.
In the early 1990s, Dr. Jay’s career took a transformative turn after meeting the late Bob Lucy, a pioneer in the promotion of nutritional supplements in Australia. Inspired by this encounter, Dr. Jay transitioned to natural therapies, contributing to research and development, manufacturing, and quality control. He has played a key role in advancing the natural health industry, bridging the gap between traditional medicine and natural approaches.
Dr. Jay’s professional journey has taken him across the globe. From the late 1970s onward, he travelled internationally to share his knowledge and expertise. He has presented lectures and seminars on natural therapies in countries such as New Zealand, Singapore, and Switzerland, where he was invited by Roche, a leading pharmaceutical company, to speak on the intersection of pharmaceuticals and natural health. In addition, in the early 1990s, Dr. Jay delivered lectures for the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia, helping to shape regulatory discussions around the use of natural therapies in the country and for developing user friendly batch documentation system which was used as example by the international pharmaceutical convention auditors from member European countries. His global experiences have enriched his understanding of health and wellness, allowing him to integrate diverse perspectives into his work.
At the age of 52, Dr. Jay retired from his corporate career as a General Manager to pursue entrepreneurial interests. He founded his own company and continues to remain involved in the industry, albeit in an advisory capacity.
Now 75, Dr. Jay is dedicated to sharing the wealth of knowledge he has accumulated throughout his career. His approach to health emphasizes the importance of good nutrition, alongside the integration of mind, body, and soul, as essential components for living a long and meaningful life.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Jay enjoys spending time with his wife, Papia, and their children and grandchildren, all of whom live in Sydney. He was also a regular guest on Radio 16 Newcastle, where he shared his insights on various health and wellness topics each Friday morning for a number of years.
